from: HELIOS (sun)
According to Homer, author of Iliad and Odyssey, the two epic poems-foundations of ancient Greek literature, aelia means power from the sun.
From Ancient Greek ἥλιος (hḗlios), or helius from Latin (sun, east, day, sunshine), in Greek mythology, Helios was the personification of the sun. He was imagined as a handsome god, crowned with the shining aureole of the sun, driving a horse-drawn chariot through the sky. He was a guardian of oaths and also the god of sight.
